Product Description

PDK's roots run straight through Porsche's factory racing program, when engineer Rainer Wust built an early dual-clutch gearbox for the 956 and 962 endurance racers, a PDK-equipped 962C that won Le Mans and helped Porsche to the World Sports-Prototype Championship. The technology wasn't ready for road cars until Porsche introduced PDK on the 911 as the first dual-clutch transmission ever offered in a production sports car, replacing the aging Tiptronic S torque-converter automatic. This tune covers the 7-speed generation of PDK that carried that architecture all the way through the 991, powering every pre-992 car along the way.

Weistec's TCU tune for pre-992 PDK is a software recalibration of the factory dual-clutch controller. It's built to the same engineering standard as Porsche's own calibration work, extracting more from hardware that already earned PDK its reputation rather than working against it, and every factory protection built into the unit stays exactly as Porsche designed it, a transmission with real racing pedigree, taken to another level.

Complete The Upgrade

An ECU tune alone won't remove all factory limits or fix how power reaches the ground. Add these to round out the upgrade with no limitations.

What is a CPC module?

The CPC (Central Powertrain Control) is a separate control unit that manages things like the active exhaust valves, radiator fan, intercooler pumps, and speed limiter. On many newer Mercedes-Benz vehicles, it also houses torque limiters that can hold back an ECU tune from reaching its full potential.

What is a TCU tune?

A TCU (transmission control unit) tune delivers faster, firmer shifts with higher line pressure, reducing clutch slip and increasing the transmission's torque capacity. It's a worthwhile upgrade on its own, or paired with an ECU tune for a fully sorted powertrain.

Good to Know

  • This is a reflash of your original module, not a stand-alone unit.
  • Power gains vary by vehicle, modifications, fuel, and operating conditions (ambient temperature, altitude, etc.).
  • New or upgraded spark plugs are always recommended when tuning.
  • Product may not be emissions compliant. Check local laws prior to installation.
  • Always use a battery charger during programming.
