Technician
We're looking for an experienced, ambitious automotive technician.
Responsibilities
- Complete assigned work accurately and efficiently
- Document work performed and manage your time
- Troubleshoot and analyze vehicle systems
- Install, assemble and test new systems and equipment
- Keep the shop clean and account for all tools and diagnostic equipment
- Keep customer cars clean, without exception
- Follow company processes and report problems to your manager right away
- Prioritize multiple jobs and work closely with management

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
You'll own the design, development, validation and delivery of new performance products and engineering services, and help define the Weistec brand. As a senior specialist, you'll bring new ideas to product development and continuous improvement. Combine a love of high-performance vehicles with proven mechanical design skills.
Responsibilities
- Design parts and assemblies from concept and detail design through manufacturing introduction
- Model and draw in SolidWorks for stainless, chromoly, aluminum and plastic parts made by casting, CNC machining, laser cutting, CNC forming and molding
- Manage design data in SolidWorks PDM
- Apply DFMA and work with manufacturing and purchasing to optimize manufacturability, reliability, performance and cost
- Evaluate new designs for feasibility of tooling, manufacturing and application
- Use 3D printing and scanning to shorten time to market
- Build and evaluate proof-of-concept prototypes
- Write and run verification and validation test plans with clear pass/fail criteria
- Create, release and maintain BOMs
- Build and update project timelines and hit deliverables
- Improve engineering processes: modeling and drawing standards, design control, testing, change orders and release
- Mentor less experienced engineers
- Follow all quality, best-practice and safety, health and environmental requirements
- Track new technology through suppliers, partners and customers and bring it into our products
Minimum requirements
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- 7 to 10+ years designing mechanical products in a manufacturing environment
- 5 to 7+ years with SolidWorks modeling, drawing, PDM and FEA
- Working knowledge of other disciplines, including electrical and electronic
- GD&T, DFMA, FMEA, PFMEA, root cause analysis and disciplined problem solving
- Able to understand and manage complex systems
- Able to lead a project while juggling multiple assignments
- Organized, professional and collaborative in cross-functional teams
- Microsoft Office and other productivity tools
Preferred
- M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Automotive aftermarket experience and a real passion for cars
- Understanding of Mercedes-Benz platforms
- Rendering skills
- Battery system design, applications and controls; hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Familiar with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 (TS 16949), 6S and 8D
- Track record leading cross-functional teams
