  • Advertised gains are estimates of HP and Torque “at the engine” calculated from gains as measured on a Dynojet Dynamometer in ideal conditions and typically show the largest possible change.  Actual gains are dependent on the following: Learn More about Crank HP Vs Wheel HP

Model – Manufacturers use the same engine in multiple model vehicles and often times they are in a different state of tune, for example: 2008 C63 and a 2008 CLK Black Series.  Both have the same engine, but the C63 has 451hp while the CLK63 has 500hp.  Naturally the C63 will show more gains as it starts at a lower level.

Model Year – Similar to above, as time progresses, Manufacturers tend to slightly increase power output via software from one year to the next or offer “Performance Packages” with increased power.  The engines remain largely unaltered and as a result, final tuned output remains the same, while the gains are lower as the starting point is now higher.

Fuel – Fuel quality is HIGHLY important with performance vehicles.  Low quality and/or low octane fuel will greatly impact engine output and potentially even engine health.  Top tier brand premium fuels should always be used to achieve the best results possible.

Drivetrain – All wheel drive has higher drivetrain losses than rear wheel drive.  This results in lower numbers when testing on a chassis dyno.  Wheel/tire size and weight will also impact chassis dyno results

Weather/Conditions – Temperature, humidity, altitude, and air density all impact engine performance.  Heat, high humidity, and thin air will all work towards reducing engine output

Engine Health – Higher miles tends to result in increased build up and lower compression which can and will impact engine output.  Properly maintained engines will have better performance than abused or neglected engines.

Supporting modifications – The highest power levels require supporting modifications.  Depending on the engine, this could mean forged internals, built transmission, upgraded fuel system, 110+ octane race fuel, etc.

The Weistec Stage 3 Supercharger System was designed and introduced to meet the needs of customers that kept asking us for more power even after installing our Stage 2 system. Incorporating many years of Mercedes supercharger knowledge, the larger 3.0L twin-screw is the pinnacle of Weistec's supercharger systems. Many people now go straight to Stage 3 from stock, but those that already have a Stage 1 or a Stage 2 supercharger can get our Stage 3 upgrade system to convert to Stage 3

Using our 3.0L Twin Screw, we have set the record for the World's Fastest Mercedes with our Stage 3 M156 System and supporting Weistec products, generating engine power levels exceeding 1000 Horsepower.

World Record CLK 63 AMG Black Series Built by Weistec

We can our Mercedes Benz AMG CLK 63 Black Series to Atco Raceway in New Jersey and set the world record for the fastest Mercedes. We finished with 9.75 secs at 151.95 MPH. 60-130 MPH in 4.32 secs!

Before and After 1/4 Mile /// -2 Seconds, +15 MPH

David Dimitrion built C63 with Weistec Supercharger. 1/4 mile testing of Mercedes Benz C63 Coupe before and after the installation of a Weistec 3.0 L Supercharger by David Dimitrion. As you will see in the video, the results are impressive. The Weistec Supercharger knock 2 seconds off the C63's 1/4 mile time (12.5 to 10.5 sec) and picked up 15 mph (112 to 127 mph).

M156 8 RIb Crank Pulley

8-Rib Pulley System

Our Stage 3 Supercharger runs an 8-Rib pulley system. The larger supercharger unit takes more effort to spin up to speed. The standard 6-rib belt drives on a stock M156 engine and on the Stage 1 and Stage 2 superchargers are simply not up to the task of spinning the 3.0 supercharger unit up for high power levels. With our included 8-rib conversion, the entire belt drive is upgraded to switch to an 8-rib belt which offers a substantial increase in belt gripping surface.

Heat Management Included

The Stage 3 Supercharger System features a liquid-to-air intercooler core rated to 1000hp, a Johnson CM30 30 liter per min intercooler water pump, Cross flow heat exchanger, and an intercooler water recovery tank. For those looking for more cooling, we offer our trunk ice tank (not included) which substantially increases liquid volume and allows for icing of the intercooler system when drag racing

Tune Included

Every supercharger comes with a tune. Our calibration team prepares a tune for your vehicle and all the mods that your build is running. You can receive your tune in person, at an Authorized Dealer, by mail, or remotely using the Cypher Handheld Programmer (Not included). For more information check out our How to Tune Page.

Improved Fueling

While the Stage 1 and Stage 2 systems make power levels that are within the capability of the factory fuel injectors, Stage 3 goes well beyond those limits. This is why we include a set of matched and custom spec 650cc injectors along with the 8an billet fuel rail setup that is included with all of our supercharger systems.
