Product Description
Audi's 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 landed in the C7-generation S6, taking over from the naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 in a genuine changing-of-the-guard moment, trading a high-revving legend for forced induction because it could deliver more usable power more efficiently across the whole rev range. It debuted the same "hot-vee" turbo layout later scaled down for Audi's V6, with both turbochargers mounted inside the vee between the cylinder banks to shorten the exhaust path and sharpen response. This architecture proved potent enough to be shared well beyond Audi, underpinning the Porsche Panamera Turbo and Bentley's V8-powered models, a real testament to how right Audi got this engine.
Weistec's ECU calibration for the S6/S7's 4.0T is a ground-up software recalibration of the factory's own boost, fueling, and ignition tables, engineered with OEM-level rigor rather than a generic piggyback approach, leaving the factory's knock protection, thermal management, and diagnostics fully untouched. On an engine this capable, that unlocks a genuinely significant jump: 121 horsepower and 172 lb-ft of torque beyond the factory rating, turning an already formidable V8 into something else entirely.

Complete The Upgrade
An ECU tune alone won't remove all factory limits or fix how power reaches the ground. Add these to round out the upgrade with no limitations.

What is a CPC module?
The CPC (Central Powertrain Control) is a separate control unit that manages things like the active exhaust valves, radiator fan, intercooler pumps, and speed limiter. On many newer Mercedes-Benz vehicles, it also houses torque limiters that can hold back an ECU tune from reaching its full potential.
What is a TCU tune?
A TCU (transmission control unit) tune delivers faster, firmer shifts with higher line pressure, reducing clutch slip and increasing the transmission's torque capacity. It's a worthwhile upgrade on its own, or paired with an ECU tune for a fully sorted powertrain.
Good to Know
- This is a reflash of your original module, not a stand-alone unit.
- Power gains vary by vehicle, modifications, fuel, and operating conditions (ambient temperature, altitude, etc.).
- New or upgraded spark plugs are always recommended when tuning.
- Product may not be emissions compliant. Check local laws prior to installation.
- Always use a battery charger during programming.
