Product Description
The N52 is a genuine engineering milestone. This naturally aspirated 3.0-liter straight-six was the first water-cooled production engine to use a magnesium-aluminum composite block, a construction choice that made it one of the lightest inline-sixes of its era at roughly 355 pounds. Paired with double-VANOS and Valvetronic, it was so well sorted at launch that it won back-to-back spots on Ward's 10 Best Engines list, honors most engines never come close to earning even once. It's the kind of naturally aspirated straight-six that made BMW's reputation for building the world's best inline-sixes.
Weistec's calibration honors that precision with precision of its own. There's no turbocharger to build boost against here, so every gain comes from refinement rather than force: the same OEM-level rigor behind every Weistec tune goes into sharpening the N52's throttle response and drawing out everything the factory calibration left on the table, all while keeping every factory protection system fully intact. On an otherwise stock N52, that's roughly 10 additional horsepower and 15 lb-ft of torque, a genuinely sharper, more responsive version of an already remarkable engine.

Complete The Upgrade
An ECU tune alone won't remove all factory limits or fix how power reaches the ground. Add these to round out the upgrade with no limitations.

What is a CPC module?
The CPC (Central Powertrain Control) is a separate control unit that manages things like the active exhaust valves, radiator fan, intercooler pumps, and speed limiter. On many newer Mercedes-Benz vehicles, it also houses torque limiters that can hold back an ECU tune from reaching its full potential.
What is a TCU tune?
A TCU (transmission control unit) tune delivers faster, firmer shifts with higher line pressure, reducing clutch slip and increasing the transmission's torque capacity. It's a worthwhile upgrade on its own, or paired with an ECU tune for a fully sorted powertrain.
Good to Know
- This is a reflash of your original module, not a stand-alone unit.
- Power gains vary by vehicle, modifications, fuel, and operating conditions (ambient temperature, altitude, etc.).
- New or upgraded spark plugs are always recommended when tuning.
- Product may not be emissions compliant. Check local laws prior to installation.
- Always use a battery charger during programming.
