Product Description
The 3.0L sits right in the middle of the M272 V6 family Mercedes introduced to replace the SOHC M112, carrying the same 90-degree DOHC layout, four valves per cylinder, dual variable valve timing, and composite intake manifold as its siblings, just with more displacement to draw on. That extra displacement handed the factory more torque without leaning on the engine any harder, and Mercedes tuned the 3.0L with the same confident, durability-first philosophy that defined the whole naturally-aspirated M272 line.
Weistec's ECU tune recalibrates ignition timing, fuel delivery, throttle mapping, and torque management to pull real, additional output from that existing displacement, just more extracted from what's already there. Every OEM safety and diagnostic system, knock protection, thermal management, and the rest, stays exactly as the factory built it. This is an OEM-level software calibration, built with the same validation rigor as Mercedes' own tuning work, and it shows in how much more the 3.0L has to give.

Complete The Upgrade
An ECU tune alone won't remove all factory limits or fix how power reaches the ground. Add these to round out the upgrade with no limitations.

What is a CPC module?
The CPC (Central Powertrain Control) is a separate control unit that manages things like the active exhaust valves, radiator fan, intercooler pumps, and speed limiter. On many newer Mercedes-Benz vehicles, it also houses torque limiters that can hold back an ECU tune from reaching its full potential.
What is a TCU tune?
A TCU (transmission control unit) tune delivers faster, firmer shifts with higher line pressure, reducing clutch slip and increasing the transmission's torque capacity. It's a worthwhile upgrade on its own, or paired with an ECU tune for a fully sorted powertrain.
Good to Know
- This is a reflash of your original module, not a stand-alone unit.
- Power gains vary by vehicle, modifications, fuel, and operating conditions (ambient temperature, altitude, etc.).
- New or upgraded spark plugs are always recommended when tuning.
- Product may not be emissions compliant. Check local laws prior to installation.
- Always use a battery charger during programming.
