Tune over OBD or via bench flash

Modern ECUs are heavily locked down, especially after dealer flashes. Our unlock service removes those restrictions, restoring full access so your ECU can be bench-flashed or flashed over OBD in most cases. Whether your ECU came locked from the factory or the dealer updated it during service, we can unlock it.

How it works

1. Purchase our ECU unlock service for each of your vehicle's ECUs.
2. Remove ECU(s) from your vehicle
3. Carefully ship your ECU(s) to the address provided to you after purchase.
4. We receive your ECU(s), unlock them, and ship them back to you.
5. You receive your ECU(s) and reinstall them on your vehicle

Dealer-Update-Resistant

What happens if my vehicle is updated by the manufacturer after I unlock my ECU? Do I have to mail my ECU again to get it unlocked?

No! You don't have to mail it again. As long as the update does not overwrite the bootloader, your unlock remains active and can be serviced at any Cypher Pro Dealer if needed.*

We always recommend explicitly telling dealers to omit software updates on tuned vehicles when you take it in for servicing.

Tool-Friendly, Not Tool-Tied

This unlock does not marry or permanently tie the ECU to any specific device, giving you flexibility. However, it is currently confirmed to work only with our tuning solutions and flashing tools for full compatibility and reliability. We don't recommend you use this unlock with any non-Weistec tuning solutions.
