Product Description
Aston Martin, like Audi, BMW, Bentley, and Rolls-Royce, sources the ZF 8HP for its current automatic-equipped cars, a transmission that's become the de facto benchmark for torque-converter automatics since its debut. Its gearset reaches eight ratios with fewer moving parts than rival units and delivers shift speeds that rival dual-clutch gearboxes outright. Aston calibrates its own version of that factory software to suit each model's character, from grand-touring smoothness to something considerably sharper.
Weistec's TCU tune builds directly on that factory ZF calibration, matching the same engineering discipline Aston's own calibration team applies rather than overriding it. The transmission's built-in clutch and thermal protections are left exactly as designed. Already benchmark hardware, calibrated to a level all its own.

What is a CPC module?
The CPC (Central Powertrain Control) is a separate control unit that manages things like the active exhaust valves, radiator fan, intercooler pumps, and speed limiter. On many newer Mercedes-Benz vehicles, it also houses torque limiters that can hold back an ECU tune from reaching its full potential.
What is a TCU tune?
A TCU (transmission control unit) tune delivers faster, firmer shifts with higher line pressure, reducing clutch slip and increasing the transmission's torque capacity. It's a worthwhile upgrade on its own, or paired with an ECU tune for a fully sorted powertrain.
