Product Description
"Ultra" isn't a separate engine. It's an efficiency designation Audi has applied across several model lines (A4, A6, Q5, and others), and the engineering behind it is genuinely clever. Audi's engineers didn't shrink the engine to hit efficiency targets, they rightsized the calibration instead. On the B9 A4, the 2.0 TFSI ultra uses an adapted Miller-cycle combustion strategy, closing the intake valves earlier than a conventional Otto-cycle engine so the engine compresses like a much smaller unit while still drawing on its full displacement during the power stroke. It's a legitimately smart piece of engineering, and one that leaves real, untapped performance sitting on the table, just waiting for a calibration built to go find it.
That's exactly what Weistec's ECU calibration for the 2.0 Ultra does. Working entirely within the factory hardware, it recalibrates boost, fueling, and timing to unlock what that Miller-cycle architecture has in reserve, while leaving every factory safety system, knock protection, thermal limits, OEM diagnostics, exactly as the factory built it. It's developed with the same validation rigor as Audi's own calibration work, not a generic piggyback tune, and on this platform it delivers a real 40 horsepower and 25 lb-ft over stock. The result is an Ultra that drives with genuinely more urgency, without giving up a shred of what made it reliable and efficient in the first place.

Complete The Upgrade
An ECU tune alone won't remove all factory limits or fix how power reaches the ground. Add these to round out the upgrade with no limitations.

What is a CPC module?
The CPC (Central Powertrain Control) is a separate control unit that manages things like the active exhaust valves, radiator fan, intercooler pumps, and speed limiter. On many newer Mercedes-Benz vehicles, it also houses torque limiters that can hold back an ECU tune from reaching its full potential.
What is a TCU tune?
A TCU (transmission control unit) tune delivers faster, firmer shifts with higher line pressure, reducing clutch slip and increasing the transmission's torque capacity. It's a worthwhile upgrade on its own, or paired with an ECU tune for a fully sorted powertrain.
Good to Know
- This is a reflash of your original module, not a stand-alone unit.
- Power gains vary by vehicle, modifications, fuel, and operating conditions (ambient temperature, altitude, etc.).
- New or upgraded spark plugs are always recommended when tuning.
- Product may not be emissions compliant. Check local laws prior to installation.
- Always use a battery charger during programming.
