How Does the Weistec W.3 Turbo Upgrade Work?
To perform this upgrade, your factory turbochargers must be sent in to us. Once received, they are disassembled and fully inspected. The compressor
cover and center cartridge are then machined to accept our 5-axis CNC-machined impeller wheel. Externally, no changes are made, preserving a
completely stock appearance. The new impeller wheel supports greater power levels than the factory unit with little to no sacrifice in spool or
response. The turbochargers are then reassembled with new seals and fully balanced for smooth operation and OEM service life. All original oil and
coolant lines bolt right up, making for a simple install.
If you prefer not to send in your turbos first, a core exchange option is available. With this option, upgraded turbochargers are shipped to you up
front for a refundable core charge. We refund the core charge once we receive your factory turbo units and they pass inspection.
M157 W.3 Turbo Upgrade
Hundreds of vehicles around the world have made the jump to the Weistec M157 W.3 Turbo Upgrade since being released in 2011. OEM appearance and reliability make the W.3 upgrade an easy decision. We have developed a proprietary compressor wheel designed to increase the air flow capability of the M157. The results are astonishing, with gains of up to 730 wheel horsepower.
Weistec Turbocharged 2014 E63S Wagon
Constructed of billet aluminum, our larger impeller wheel is 5-axis CNC-machined and flows significantly more air. The lightweight impeller design and latest machining technology result in very short spool-up times and great overall power. Tailored for use exclusively with the factory M157 Garrett GT22 frame, this is a 100% bolt-on installation. No custom oil and water lines to leak, no headaches. Every factory line connects right to the new turbo, using factory gaskets. Replacing the oil feed lines with new OEM Oil Feed Lines is recommended, especially on higher mileage vehicles.
For maximum results, the combination of our Weistec Downpipes and Weistec High Flow Air Filters is recommended. An M157 ECU Upgrade is required.

Supporting Upgrades
To fully optimize these hardware upgrades, all Weistec supporting modifications are needed. These supporting modifications include a Weistec W.3 ECU calibration, Weistec TCU tune, Weistec CPC upgrade (if applicable), Weistec Downpipes, upgraded spark plugs, Weistec Water Methanol Injection System, and either Weistec High Flow Air Filters or Carbon Fiber Airboxes.
